It’s official: i don’t dig the choreo.

While the PV effectively warmed me up to the song, the live performance failed to make me view the choreo differently. Since only parts of it are featured in the video, i waited till this Music Station appearance before making the final call. If “sexy na Arashi” refers to those jerky hip/open-legs movements, i am downright disappointed.

LOVE has arrived!

My initial reaction upon learning that the upcoming album is titled LOVE was “huh? ;-/”

Well, maybe 99% of all songs composed in world talk one thing or another about love; it isn’t too big of a deal, yet… idk, ‘love’ seems too broad, generic, and a bit humdrum. Nevertheless, I initially thought ‘Popcorn’ was cheesy – which then turned out to be (one of) my favorite album(s) – so prove me wrong again, Arashi!

DAMN! I Love Indonesia: nasionalisme, patriotisme?

Ada banyak cara untuk menunjukkan kecintaan pada bangsa dan negara. Hal yg paling mendasar/mudah bisa jadi adalah dengan mencintai dan membeli produk-produk buatan dalam negeri, yg dengan demikian membantu laju pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal, yg berbanding lurus dengan tingkat kesejahteraan rakyat. Itu dari segi konsumen yg konsumtif. Bagi yg jeli, hal ini sangat bisa dijadikan peluang bisnis — sembari menunjukkan kecintaan pada negeri, menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan sekaligus mengeruk keuntungan finansial. Apa tuh ibaratnya? Sambil menyelam minum air terus nangkep ikan?

Small Change Scam

Today marks a year since Governor Jokowi and his Deputy Ahok took office. City conditions haven’t dramatically improved but people can see it ever so slowly move towards the better. They are really taking it one step at a time and it’s nothing worth complaining — you can’t expect your rusty steel to turn into shining brand-new metal with just a few scrubs, can you?

So I said I’d post more eatery reviews sooner than later, and without realizing it… it’s another weekend! My bad… that what happens when real life prevails – I have so little time to sit down and write. Because there are so many things I’d love to do with my free time besides writing.

Anyway, after an extravagant meal, it’s only natural to tighten our belt a bit as we opted for local delicacies at Jln Pesanggrahan, Radja Gurame.
