The topic that i blog about the most besides dramas and movies is probably Arashi. There seems to be endless things to write about and i enjoy doing it even if such posts took me the longest to finish — due to the extra care paid and details included to ensure they’re interesting to read as well as informatively correct. Continue reading “A taste of Arashi’s brand of entertainment”
Crossing yet another long-overdue post off my evergrowing to-blog list. This idea has been on my mind since my favorite songs list in mid-2018, but like how my favorite PVs post only came to fruition following All the BEST!! CLIPS’ release in October 2019, this favorite solos could finally see the light of day thanks to Arashi’s open poll for their upcoming two-day Arafes 2020 concert. Continue reading “Favorite Arashi members’ solos”
So, Arashi mentioned that ‘reborn’ is their theme or project for 2020, and upon the release of A-RA-SHI: Reborn, i knew that song was the first of (possibly) many to come. And based on the trend since last November, they seem to aim for monthly digital releases. Which, if true, is certainly good news, because new music is something i’ve been missing from them for a while now, especially since they haven’t released an original album for two years now. To our delight, they bundled three of their classic singles and released the old-but-new tracks under a digital EP called Reborn Vol.1. Continue reading “Reborn Vol.1: for better or worse”
Confession time: i’m never too fond of A.Ra.Shi as a song, despite it being the group’s debut song and whatnot, but i’m liking A-RA-SHI: Reborn. Quite a lot. Even if they’re inherently the same song. Continue reading “Arashi, Arashi, MY dream…”
Who knew the day when i could embed Arashi’s official video would come?
This was actually the next blog idea on my list after completing my first ‘on the road to 5×20’ post back in July last year. However, i realized that i didn’t have all of Arashi’s PVs that it might be quite unfair to sort my favorites just based on what i had in hand… But then, they release this 5×20 All the BEST!! CLIPS 1999-2019 containing 63 single PVs they’ve released so far except Brave, two of them are Natsu Hayate‘s (and 9 more clips from a tour, a b-side, and album lead tracks in the LE version), which seems to tell me that now i have no excuse not to work on this List. Continue reading “on the road to 5×20: favorite PVs”
“One for all and all for you.”
Ten full months since the first listen back in November, BRAVE officially hit the stores.
This is probably the longest we ever waited for a new single to drop — or for a new song, even. A lot of things happened in the intervening times so the waiting time didn’t feel that long. It’s also released ahead of the Rugby World Cup it’s used as the image song for, ’cause if it were following PawaPara‘s schedule, it could’ve been pushed back a couple more months. Continue reading “There’s no limit to being BRAVE”
When it comes to promoting new music releases, there aren’t many music shows Arashi appears on for that. In fact, they only did three weekly programs when i first entered the fandom a decade ago: Music Station, Hey! Hey! Hey!, and Music Lovers. Continue reading “on the road to 5×20: special medleys”
“5 and you by twenty.”
It’s here! Arashi’s complete best album: 5×20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019.
A release i’ve looked forward to since last year, if only for that one unreleased song: 5×20. Continue reading “5 is my treasure number”
Brave could have been Arashi’s fourth single of the year, given its first public play on November 3rd. But there’s still no news if — or when — the song is going to be released as a single, despite the announcement of it being the Rugby World Cup 2019’s image song for NTV. Continue reading “BRAVE fighter, we’re gonna rock the world now”
