Men fight great, women are great fighters.

Wow. Just… wow.

It’s been a while since i last heard a song as powerful as this. And i dig it on first listen. Not a big fan of the lyrics as a whole — it carries good message nonetheless — as what hooked me was the tone, fervor, and reverberating chorus.

Ladies all across the world
Listen up, we’re looking for recruits
If you’re with me, lemme see your hands, stand up, and salute
Get your killer heels, sneakers, pumps, or lace up your boots
Representing all the women. Salute! Salute!

From beginning to end, Little Mix keeps the energy pumped at high level. When you think it’s slowing down and you remember a breath or two, another round of rousing chorus kicks in. The way they deliver the lines with accent makes it sound more like an assertive and commanding declaration than a song with empowering lyrics. And when they harmonize… salute!

Salute really is an invigorating song. It could very well be a mood plus energy booster too, if listened to in the morning — one way to get your battery charged up in three minutes and fifty-six seconds! 😀

It’s who we are, we don’t need no camouflage

You think we’re just pretty things
You couldn’t be more wrong
We’re standing strong, we carry on
Knock us but we keep moving up
Can’t stop a hurricane, ladies it’s time to awake

And remember, men fight great, but women are great fighters…

I blog sometimes, gush ofttimes, snark all the time.

What do you think?
